Firm History
On September 28, 1974 Charles W. Bell, Sr. and Michael
J. Ragland, Sr. came from Montgomery County, Maryland to
form the law firm of Bell and Ragland, P.A. in Annapolis,
Anne Arundel County, Maryland for the general practice of
law.
The firm then concentrated on real estate matters, medical
malpractice and auto accidents, criminal cases and divorces.
Theses Maryland lawyers handled cases in Anne Arundel County,
Montgomery County and many other areas in the State of Maryland.
Charles Bell retired in 1979.
Bell and Ragland, P.A. was joined by Jeffrey S. Gauges
to become Bell, Ragland & Gauges, P.A. in January 2007.
In February 2009, Allen Jack Paltell, Jr. joined Bell, Ragland
& Gauges, P.A. and the firm become Bell, Ragland, Gauges
& Paltell, L.L.C.. Together these Maryland attorneys
have more than 35 years of experience in real estate, family
law, estate planning, criminal law, civil litigation, employment
law, and other areas for the general legal needs of our
clients...
As family counselors for their clients, these Maryland
lawyers have practiced before the federal courts and have
appeared in most of the Counties of the State of Maryland.
Both Members of the firm are members of the Anne Arundel
Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and
are admitted to practice by the Court of Appeals of Maryland,
The United States District Court for the District of Maryland,
the Federal Bankruptcy Court. Michael Ragland was admitted
to the Bar of the Federal Tax Court and the bar of the United
States Supreme Court.
